Explanation of Points

Pole Tricks 

Variety of pole tricks including a combination of strength and flexibility. Tricks should be strongly executed and safely with minimal regrips, slips, strain or struggle. Entries and exits are also considered part of the trick. Synchronicity in doubles and groups.

Lines & Extensions

Clean lines with only intentional bending or flexing of joints. Tricks and dance should be angled aesthetically toward the audience. Posture on and off the pole should match performance.

Movement Off the Pole 

Should include dance, floorwork and acrobatic elements. Movement is purposeful and relevant to performance. Synchronicity in doubles and groups.

Stage Presence

Competitor displays entertaining and engaging performance. ‘Character’ is not broken through the dance and tricks. There are relevant and well-timed eye contact/facial expressions.

Presentation

The competitor is well presented and is dressed to match/complement the theme of the performance. Uniqueness is displayed and brands should not be visible unless they directly relate to the performance.
