Pleaser Heels 101

I'm curious, when you first laid your eyes upon your first pair of pleasers, what were your thoughts?

"How do they walk in those?"

"I am going to break an ankle!"

"They are so pretty, but I am so scared!"

"Will these help me pole dance?!"

Real talk.... Pleasers DO look scary AF when you first start your pole journey! The idea of walking in them AND dancing in them seems SO crazy! But, if you are reading this and already come to the "tall" side, you will know putting on your first pair of pleasers is exhilarating!

Today, I am here to debunk some myths or concerns about Pleaser heels! I will show you that they are not so scary (maybe, sometimes, the price tag is, though ).

When we have new pole sisters join us, the first question we generally get is.... "Do I need the shoes?"

NO, you do not need the shoes! Many of our pole sisters LOVE wearing them for choreo classes, but most of our classes are actually done barefoot. If you are not ready to buy your first pair of pleasers, BUT you want to partake in something like sexy fundamentals or sensual flow, you can pack a pair of socks to help with sliding your feet on the floor (feel free to get cute or creative with your sock choice too ).

After a little while, you may start to get thoughts like... Oh, but they are kinda cute... Then MORE questions start flooding in...

Can I even walk in these?

It's all about practice! And we have the perfect video to get you started. Chelsea has created an all-in-one, walk-in pleasers tutorial. The tutorial can be broken down into four key sections:

0:15- Conditioning (we have conditioning for everything these days )

1:25- Master the basics

2:05- Try your strut

4:29- Walking around the pole

In reality, while these heels feel SKY HIGH, the actual "slope" is not much higher than the stilettos you wear on weekends or at work. Pleaser shoes were originally designed for strippers, who spend LONG nights on their feet in these stunning shoes. So they are made for COMFORT. The platform on the shoes makes them feel excessively high. Take this away, though, and they are a standard heel height.

So long story short, YES, you CAN walk in these.

Do you want to try but don't know where to start?

If you have ever window-shopped on the pleaser, hella heels or sky-high website, you may feel... a little overwhelmed! And girl, I don't blame you. There are A LOT of options. But I have a good place for you to start!

Our most popular selling shoe for newbies is the ADORE 1020. They are a 7-inch (don't let the height scare you), mid-calf boot, and they have so many colour options!!!! Many feel like the boot gives additional ankle support, and the height is a happy medium. We have a select few in the studio if you want to try some on.

I promise you, YOU CAN WALK in pleaser shoes and let's be honest, 9 times out of 10, we have the pole holding us up anyways .

In the meantime, check out Chelsea's tutorial and start daydreaming about your new shoes
